Practice and Experience
Ms. McEwan is a trial lawyer whose practice has emphasized
complex commercial litigation and appellate briefing and
argument 20 years. Her focus is on issues involving contracts,
fraud, professional malpractice, intellectual property,
insurance coverage, employment and court-supervised business
workouts. As a result, she has an active motions practice,
emphasizing summary judgment and other dispositive motions.
Additionally, she has approximately 15 years of experience
relating to issues concerning agricultural cooperatives and
has assisted in extensive antitrust defense litigation.
Professional Qualifications
Ms.McEwan is qualified to practice in State and Federal
courts throughout the United States, and has practiced before
such courts in Washington, Alaska, Oregon, Montana and Ohio.
She is a member of the Washington State and American Bar
Associations, the King County Bar Association and the Washington
State Trial Lawyers Association.
Community and Civic Activities
Ms. McEwan has been active in civic and community affairs as a
member of the National Ski Patrol, a director of Professional
Women's Fellowship, a trustee for Seattle Pacific University,
and a member of University Presbyterian Church. She is active
as a fundraiser for Washington Women in Need and has participated
for several years in the Washington State Governor's Prayer
Breakfast and Civic Forum. Additionally, she has been a guest
and keynote speaker before various professional organizations
and women's groups. |
