Practice and Experience
Mr. Davis is a trial lawyer whose practice includes employment and commercial litigation, securities litigation, antitrust litigation, personal injury, insurance coverage disputes (including ERISA), and real estate law. Mr. Davis has extensive securities arbitration experience before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and authored an article entitled Forum Shopping which was published by the Bar Journal of the Public Investors' Arbitration Bar Association, Spring Edition 2007.
Professional Qualifications
Mr. Davis is a member of the Washington State and King County Bar Association, as well as the Washington State Association for Justice. Mr. Davis is admitted to practice before the United States District Court (W.D. Washington) and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Mr. Davis received his J.D., cum laude, from the Seattle University School of Law in 2006, while being employed full time as a law clerk. Mr. Davis was also a finalist for the 2007 Mark Reutlinger Scholarship for Excellence in Legal Writing. Mr. Davis received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington and holds Series 7 and 66 licenses (inactive).
Community and Civic Activities
In December 2008, Mr. Davis was recognized for his pro bono work with flood victims. Mr. Davis participated in the 2006 Seattle University bankruptcy clinic which provided legal advice to low-income families who were experiencing financial difficulties. Mr. Davis also participated in Seattle University's professional responsibility clinic reviewed bar complaints and provided disciplinary recommendations to the Bar association. Mr. Davis is currently a member of the Surfrider Foundation.
